Financial services mutual Wesleyan has partnered with FNZ to make its Smoothed With Profits Fund available on more independent platforms powered by the leading technology provider.
FNZ, the leader in global, end-to-end wealth management platforms, partners with over 650 of the world’s leading financial institutions and more than 12,000 wealth management firms.
Following the agreement, Wesleyan’s Smoothed With Profits Fund will soon be available on certain platforms supported by FNZ’s Q-Hub technology, allowing more advisers to incorporate it into diversified portfolios and serve clients with a greater variety of needs.
Wesleyan’s Smoothed With Profits Fund is designed specifically to sit on independent adviser platforms, offering daily pricing, daily trading and daily smoothing to give advisers and their clients instant access to the information they need.
The partnership with FNZ will enable Wesleyan’s further expansion across the UK platform market. Its fund became the first of its kind to sit on an independent adviser platform when it was added to Wealthtime in 2021 and has since been made available on Nucleus Wrap and Aberdeen Wrap.
The announcement follows a recent study from Wesleyan and the lang cat, which found advisers are using smoothed funds to help clients navigate complex and fast-moving market conditions. The research revealed a clear majority (65%) of advisers agreed smoothed funds help to manage client concerns around risk and volatility.
Karen Blatchford, Managing Director, Intermediary Distribution at Wesleyan, said: “Closer collaboration between the platform and fund management industries is essential if more people are to benefit from smoothing.
“Our platform-native approach to fund design has helped us get onto more independent platforms than any other smoothed fund provider."
This partnership with FNZ strengthens our position as a first mover in the space, and we’re looking forward to making smoothed funds available to more advisers as they support their clients to navigate volatility.
Alastair Conway, Group Head of UK at FNZ, said:
At FNZ, our mission is to open up wealth by using cutting-edge technology to broaden access to high-quality investment solutions. We’re pleased to be supporting Wesleyan as it expands access to its smoothed fund through certain FNZ-powered client platforms. This partnership reflects our commitment to enabling greater investment choice and helping advisers meet the evolving needs of their clients.
