Olivia Broderick
General Counsel
Olivia Broderick was appointed as General Counsel at FNZ in April 2024, based in London. Within this role, she is responsible for overseeing all legal and corporate governance matters across the Group.
Prior to joining FNZ, Olivia was the Chief Legal Officer of Bitpanda, which is an online investment platform offering trading in crypto, stocks and commodities to retail customers. Prior to Bitpanda, Olivia was Group General Counsel of Checkout.com which is a global payment processor. At Checkout Olivia led the legal, governance and regulatory affairs teams and supported Checkout's global expansion leading to a Series D valuation of $40bn.
Olivia's first fintech GC role was at Zopa. Zopa is a peer-to-peer company which received its banking licence from the PRA in December 2018 with Olivia playing a key role in obtaining that licence. Prior to Zopa, Olivia spent 11 years at Barclays Bank plc in a variety of roles in the UK, across Europe and South Africa at Barclaycard and the Retail Banking business. Olivia also spent time in a non-legal role at Barclays Bank Ireland where she led the establishment of a payment processing business for the bank.
