Denis A. Turcotte

Denis A. Turcotte joined the FNZ Group Board in July 2026.

He is a Managing Partner at Brookfield Asset Management, where he supports the firm’s Private Equity business through investment due diligence, acquisitions, portfolio company oversight and executive leadership development. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Brookfield’s Private Equity business and has more than 35 years of executive leadership experience spanning public and private companies, including CEO, operating, strategy, and corporate development roles.

Mr. Turcotte brings extensive boardroom experience, having served on public and private company boards across North America and Australia for more than three decades. His expertise includes corporate governance, finance, audit, compensation, environmental and safety oversight, mergers and acquisitions, corporate turnarounds, and capital markets. He currently serves as Chairman of Altera Infrastructure Inc. and as a Director of Clarios Corporation, and has previously held board leadership positions with Westinghouse, GrafTech International, Domtar, Norbord, Brookfield Business Partners, and other organizations.

Throughout his career, Mr. Turcotte has worked across a broad range of sectors, including energy, industrials, manufacturing, mining, financial services, healthcare, technology, and real estate. He is a Professional Engineer, holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Lakehead University.
