After more than 10 years, Friday 27th September saw FNZ's last day in Lambton Quay before we moved to our prestigous new office at 29a Brandon Street in Wellington, New Zealand.
With over 12 meeting rooms, a large kitchen cafeteria, a large games area, a wellbeing room, great meeting room technology, two outdoor areas and multiple collaboration spaces, it’s safe to say the NZ team are throughly enjoying the new space.
To mark the official move in day, the FNZ Wellington team, along with invited guests, attended a formal opening and he whakawātea (blessing) ceremony on site, led by Māori representatives from local iwi, Neavin Broughton and Whaea Lois. The he whakawātea was performed in Te Reo Māori followed by translation in English.
This was an opportunity for each floor of the building, including all of the meeting rooms (all of which are named after NZ native birds, trees and mountains) to be blessed before the new wellbeing room name was unveiled – Manaaki.
