Creating a leading IFA platform in the UK

£0 to £60 billion in 15 years.

FNZ technology and back office investment operations have helped Abrdn accelerate from a standing start in 2005 to becoming one of the leading IFA platforms in the UK in 2021. That’s both by Assets Under Administration (£60+ billion), and by net quarterly capital flows.

A global and multi-channel partnership

FNZ and Aviva have been in partnership since 2015 and together have developed a number of truly market leading, multi-channel digital propositions across the UK and Asia. Today, the Aviva platforms are some of the fastest growing in the UK market - across all channels.

Evolving Stockbroking to Advice & Wealth Management

FNZ first partnered with Barclays, one of the world’s leading financial services companies, to launch their direct to consumer (D2C) platform in 2017.

When they partnered with FNZ, Barclays already had one of the UK’s largest online stockbroking services. Their goal was to transform this into a fully digital and market leading wealth management proposition, accessible to all of Barclay’s online banking customer base.

A platform delivering value through innovation and technology

FNZ has partnered with Findex, one of Australasia’s leading providers of integrated financial advisory services, since 2016 and together we have developed the innovative, multi-channel investment platform, Centric.

Developed to support all the needs of investors, Centric has been architected with a unique philosophy to create an ecosystem of services spanning investment, education, insurance, advice, accounting and debt services. This provides users with an engaging, comprehensive wealth management service for all their financial needs in one place.

Transformational Digital Experience

In 2018, FNZ were selected by Generali, one of the world’s largest insurance companies, to develop a market leading digital proposition for investors in Switzerland.

The challenge was to transform their existing offline offering into a fully digital user experience aimed at younger investors.

Accelerating growth by delivering better outcomes for both advisers and customers

FNZ helped Quilter successfully migrate over £62.5bn assets, more than 490,000 customers, 600,000 accounts and 2.5 billion data items via a thorough and systematic process that minimised disruption during one of largest ever replatforming projects completed to date.

Transforming digital advice through online banking

FNZ first partnered with Santander, one of the world’s major global banks, to launch their direct to consumer (D2C) platform in 2016. This offering was later enhanced with a market leading robo-adviser solution supporting first time investors by utilising a unique gamification approach to assessing investment suitability.

Our partnership has resulted in the creation of an advanced digital advice proposition, which is fully integrated with Santander’s online banking system, providing all UK banking customers with access to their online wealth management services.

Disrupting the insurance market in Singapore

SingLife, a new Life Insurer in Singapore, are disrupting the insurance industry in Southeast Asia with their focus on digital innovation. Their mission is to unlock the potential of money for end investors and do so by leveraging smart technologies to make insurance fully digital, affordable and convenient.

Award-winning innovation

In collaboration with FNZ, UOB Asset Management (UOBAM) developed and launched their award winning UOBAM Invest robo-adviser. It was first launched in 2018 as an online portal for corporate investors, followed by a mobile app later in 2020 for individual investors.

Shaking up the direct to consumer marketplace

In 2016, Vanguard, one of the world’s largest asset managers, selected FNZ to support their platform deployment strategy in a number of countries outside of the United States.
