Trevor was appointed to the FNZ Asia-Pacific boards in November 2013. Trevor has over 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He was previously with Aviva as Executive Director and Chairman, Developed Markets and prior to that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aviva United Kingdom (UK). Trevor has held the position of Group CEO with Friends Provident and CEO with Standard Life in the UK, and CEO of Manulife Financial in Japan. He has also held senior roles with National Australia Bank and Legal & General in Australia.
Trevor was Commissioner for the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, Chairman of the Financial Services Skills Council in the UK, and served on the boards of the Life Insurance Association of Japan, the Life Office Management Association in the United States, and the Life Investment and Superannuation Association in Australia.
Trevor is Chairman of the NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority, Chairman of 1st Available Ltd, Director of Bupa Australia and New Zealand, Director of AMP Limited, Director of Cover-More Group Limited and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in Australia and the UK.
Adrian is the founder and CEO of FNZ and has overseen the development of the company since it started in 2004. He is currently based in the company’s London office.
Prior to founding FNZ, he worked as an equity analyst for what at the time was Credit Suisse NZ now First NZ Capital.
Adrian has a BSc (Hons 1st Class) in physics and mathematics, and a BMus in performance piano, both from Victoria University Wellington.
Kate Hyndman joined the FNZ Asia-Pacific boards in February 2016. Prior to this Kate was Chief Technical Officer at FNZ responsible for business architecture, engineering and delivery management of FNZ’s core global products.
Kate has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry developing and executing technology strategy. Prior to joining FNZ, Kate worked in both NZ and London holding a variety of technology development and leadership positions within fund management, investment banking, stock broking and wealth management businesses. Kate’s areas of expertise include multi-market wealth management solutions, custodial investment administration best practises and Asia Pacific region tax and regulatory solutions.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Technology honours degree specialising in Information Engineering, from Massey University, NZ.
Annette King was appointed to the FNZ Asia-Pacific boards in February 2016.
Annette’s career has spanned over 26 years in the financial services sector and consulting industry. She is an experienced senior management executive with CEO and C-suite experience in wealth management, pensions and life insurance.
Her key areas of expertise include strategy, marketing, product management, finance, operations and risk management. This experience includes acquisitions and integrations, as well as divestment and restructuring.
Prior to FNZ, she held directorships for 12 years in financial services organizations such as AXA and Manulife, in Australia and Asia. Her roles have included CEO and General Manager with P&L responsibility, CFO, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer.
Originally from Australia, Annette holds an Economics degree from Macquarie University, Sydney. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and was formerly the President of the Life Insurance Association for Singapore.
Damian is the Chief Operating Officer for FNZ Asia Pacific, and is responsible for both operational service delivery and regional product design and implementation.
Damian has worked almost exclusively within institutional banking and wealth management throughout his entire career, holding senior positions around the globe across a range of areas including software engineering, technology operations, finance and asset servicing & custody.
Damian was a member of the original team that designed and implemented the first versions of the FNZ core platform and since then has been continuously involved in the development and growth of the service offering.
Damian was educated at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, holding a degree in Commerce and Administration. Damian is also a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
Nick Sherry was appointed Chairman of FNZ Australia in 2012. He is the CEO of Sherry and Associates International, a specialist advisory consultant in pension systems, including aspects of design and operation; contributions, governance and regulation, taxation, investment and related legacy issues.
Nick is a former Senator and Minister for Superannuation with more than 25 years involvement in the Australian superannuation and financial services sector.
He has a vast range of experience with all aspects of the Australian system, including Chair of the Senate committee on Superannuation, Minister for Superannuation and was Australia’s first Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law.
