Today, OnePath is one of New Zealand's leading providers of investment, insurance and KiwiSaver solutions, including the largest manager of retail investment funds which includes KiwiSaver (FundSource, December 2010).
Among its investment offerings, OnePath provides an Investment Portfolio Management tool called OneAnswer, administered by FNZ Custodians Limited.
Market Driver
OnePath wished to provide an additional service for its investment advisers, intermediaries and their clients. The scope included retaining existing functionality, but enhancing capabilities to provide a comprehensive Administration and Custodial service within one consolidated platform. This resulted in the roll-out and delivery of the OnePath Wrap Platform branded as ‘OneAnswer’.
FNZ was engaged to provide a customised administration and custodial system, using the core FNZ platform functionality, and to deliver this as OneAnswer.
Platform Proposition
FNZ delivers a processing, advisory and investment platform for advisers who use OnePath as a Fund Manager providing them with a professional and up-to-date portfolio proposition for their OneAnswer clients.
The consolidated ‘wrap’ platform account service that FNZ provided for OnePath also covers investment administration services dealing with custodial and non-custodial investment products, including:
OneAnswer can hold a range of managed funds, cash, term deposits, shares and fixed interest investments and can administer these investments for clients in a consolidated approach. Based on adviser and/or client instruction, OneAnswer carries out all trading on behalf of the client, as well as providing regular reporting on the progress of individual portfolios.
Continuous Development
All platforms powered by FNZ are continuously evolving due to the changing environment in which we operate. We therefore have a continuous development team dedicated to updating all New Zealand customer platforms. OneAnswer will be upgraded to include and deliver the Next Generation Platform (NGP) in 2012. The new generation platform is currently being rolled out to some New Zealand customers.
