  • investment including shares fixed interest, property and infrastructure.

AMP lead the market in superannuation, personal insurance, retirement incomes, retail managed funds and financial advice in Australia, and in workplace superannuation and retail managed funds in New Zealand.

The merger between AMP and AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Limited (AXA) on 30 March 2011 has brought together two of New Zealand and Australia’s longest standing businesses and created a market-leading provider of financial services with quality financial advice at its heart.

Market Driver
AMP was looking to launch an online investment portal that targeted high net worth investors, by offering web-based access to managed funds, direct shares and bonds, and to utilise model portfolios.

Project Proposition
The platform delivered by FNZ, ‘AMP WealthView’, is a single platform that allows investors and their advisers to choose from a wide range of market leading investments across the major asset sectors - and monitor their progress. As an adviser-led service, AMP WealthView allows the adviser to build and manage an investment portfolio that suits their client’s specific needs.

AMP WealthView provides the ability to invest in:

  • Managed funds - across the major asset classes such as international equity, property, alternative assets, fixed interest, growth assets and cash;
  • Direct equities - both local and international markets including USA, UK, Germany, Japan and Australia;
  • Direct bonds - Australasian;
  • Discretionary adviser-led accounts and managed model portfolios.

In a market where providers largely favour their own investment vehicles, AMP’s investment selection approach is an innovative one utilising independent research houses to assist in the selection and review of its investment offering.

Other service and product features include:

  • a discretionary portfolio for the construction, maintenance and trading of a personalised portfolio;
  • a cash account that operates as a central hub for cash contributions, income, fees and cash withdrawals;
  • real-time reporting and improved online portfolio management tools for advisers and customers;
  • online share trading capability – advisers can trade shares and listed securities direct to market.

Continuous Development
Every platform powered by FNZ is evolving continuously to keep pace with the changing environment in which we operate. In April 2010, AMP became the first New Zealand customer to move onto our new generation platform.
